Seaman 03:33
There's no combination Of words that can express The thoughts that are in my head At the ocean the waves will crash loud The current will smack the bows down As I'm laid to rest neath the sea You'll be waiting there for me But the water won't seem quite as cold With the peace that I have an I hold There's no proper context The best I could do was lie When I look into your eyes If you could see me now You would be let down If I could see the full moon in your eyes I would be alright, if only for tonight.

Wake Up 03:18
It's the middle of the day and you're still half asleep You're at the point where you don't know what's real and what's a dream You got some money in your pocket, But you don't think it's enough to get you anywhere. It's the middle of the winter and you really don't feel cold You haven't felt quite right and you haven't told a soul You went to take a walk outside, it started pouring rain As you start to sober up, you think it started to explain Why you wake up in the morning and can't get out of bed You hear the sound of church bells cashing in your head You wake up in the afternoon and don't know what to do Well here's a clue Maybe it's all because of you. You made a pot of coffee to help you stay awake 'Cause the voices in your head just won't give you a break And you're tired of arguing, so you just let them stay there for a little while. But they're taking up residence and they don't want to leave And once you set the precedent it gets hard to believe That there ever was a time when you could really find a bit of quiet.

I forced myself to sing along To chords I stole when I was young If I put it on the page, I'd learn to fight another day Through all the things I've won and lost And all the lessons I've been taught I cherish every word you say. Through all the fights and all the years And all along just as I feared The ones you love the most are the ones that you'll let go But there's some things, can't be un-learned Like love your neighbor, know your worth I cherish every word you say Weight on my chest When you've got no future, you find your friends I forced my self to sing along In spite of what I have become I have never been so scared I forced myself to see myself For what I really am And I won't go down that road again.
